FREE SPEECH on COLLEGE CAMPUSES led to the conclusion of the VIETNAM WAR!
The movement against U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War began small–among peace activists and leftist intellectuals on college campuses–but gained national prominence in 1965, after the United States began bombing North Vietnam in earnest. Anti-war marches and other protests, such as the ones organized by Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), attracted a widening base of support over the next three years, peaking in early 1968 after the successful Tet Offensive by North Vietnamese troops proved that war’s end was nowhere in sight.
In hindsight, Millions of CONSERVATIVE AMERICANS were OFFENDED by these PASIFICE LEFTEST MARCHES; MARCHES and PROTESTS that created a great deal of CIVIL UNREST across our NATION during the late 1960’s and early 70’s! Vietnam was a War that America could never have won, a War that was causing thousands of American Causalities and not serving any Purpose!
The LEFTESTS and the PASIFICS were right back in the late 1960’s and 70’s to STAND UP and SPEAK OUT, to create CIVIL UNREST, and bring about CHANGE in our GOVERNMENT’S POLICIES!
FREEDOM of SPEECH was as important back then as it is today! AMERICANS should not allow anyone to impede our FREEDOM of SPEECH, or any of our other CIVIL RIGHTS, for that matter! Not even PRESIDENT DAVID BOREN at the UNIVERSITY of OKLAHOMA, not the MAINSTREAM ZIO-MEDIA, not PRESIDENT OBAMA’s REGIME, or any MEMBER of CONGRESS!
“The Kent State shootings (also known as the May 4 massacre or the Kent State massacre)[2][3][4] occurred at Kent State University in the US city of Kent, Ohio, and involved the shooting of unarmed college students by the Ohio National Guard on Monday, May 4, 1970. The guardsmen fired 67 rounds over a period of 13 seconds, killing four students and wounding nine others, one of whom suffered permanent paralysis.”
