SHOP OWNERS in CHICAGO are
WHACKING each another in 2014!

SHOP OWNERS in CHICAGO find that
it’s easier in 2014 to KILL their COMPETITORS, rather than COMPETE with THEM!

QUESTION: Isn’t this the kind of
STUFF that PEOPLE do in 3rd WORLD COUNTRIES?

SERIOUSLY, ISN’T THIS THE KIND OF
STUFF THAT HAPPENS IN 3RD WORLD CONTIRES!

SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prosecutors said today that the
Chicago man who allegedly shot a convenience store owner Thursday morning acted
after the proprietor of a nearby shop offered him $3,000 to "whack"
the competitor.

Jovan Williams, 22, is accused of
firing a single shot that struck the South Side shopkeeper in the head as he
was opening his business in the 2400 block of West 63rdStreet, a commercial
area that divides the Marquette Park and Chicago Lawn neighborhoods. Assistant
State's Attorney Glen Runk said in bond court Saturday that the businessman
remains in critical condition.

The owner of a nearby convenience
store had approached Williams on Tuesday and asked whether he wanted to make
some money, Runk said. After Williams said he was interested, prosecutors said
the owner provided a handgun and then instructed Williams to "whack"
the other businessman on Thursday morning.

Just after the shooting, officers
patrolling the area received a description of the suspect and soon saw Williams
near the shooting scene. Williams fled on foot when police approached, but he
was arrested just after 9:15 a.m. in a residential part of the Chicago Lawn
neighborhood. A discarded handgun was later found, Runk said.

Prosecutors said Williams, of the
6600 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue, admitted to police that he shot the
man. The shopkeeper who allegedly ordered the hit was not named in court records
and has apparently not been charged. Neither convenience store was named by
prosecutors or police.

Williams, who faces felony
charges of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery, appeared
Saturday before Cook County Associate Judge Donald Panarese Jr., who ordered
him held on $1 million bail. Williams will appear in court again Thursday.
