BLACK
MOTHER and her CHILDREN attack SCHOOL BUS DRIVER!

A Louisville woman is
accused of boarding a Jefferson County Public Schools bus and attacking the
driver and bus monitor, and police say the suspect's three young children
helped her.

It happened at the bus stop at Jackson and St. Catherine Streets
just before 5 p.m. February 19. The warrant states it all started after the bus
driver asked the children to be seated until the bus stopped.

Yancey's children's
father, Stepfon Nolan says their 9 year old daughter got off the bus yelling
that she had been hit when she came off the bus. The report states she claimed
she was hit by the bus monitor, but Nolan and Yancey said it was the bus driver
that placed a hand on her.

"The bus driver
proceeded to choke my daughter with his hands and push her off the bus,"
said Nolan.

Nolan claims that's when
Yancey boarded the bus to find out what was going on. "It could have been
resolved better than what it was," said Nolan. "I think everybody
could have been professional about it."

Yancey was arraigned in
court Friday morning. She asked the judge if she could say something.

"That bus has
cameras on it," said Yancey. "He grabbed my daughter by her
throat."

According to the arrest warrant,
once on board Yancey started punching the bus driver in his arm. When the bus
monitor tried to intervene Yancey then pulled her off the bus by her shirt then
punched, kicked, and spit on her. Nolan says Yancey was the one attacked.

"She's got cracked
ribs," said Nolan. "She's hurt. She's hurt."

The warrant goes on to
state Yancey's three children ages 9, 7, and 6 joined in and started kicking
the bus monitor.

"I don't blame
them," said Nolan. "If your mother is getting attacked in front of you
what are you going to do."

Teamsters Local 783
represents JCPS bus drivers and monitors. President John Stovall says their
fortunate this doesn't happen more often. He encourages drivers to get
officials involved at the first sign of trouble.

"My advice to them
and I've told them before is to call police and then go out and take a warrant
out because that's the only way you are going to protect yourself and other
people on that bus," said Stovall.

The incident happened in
front of about 10 children under the age of 10 who were passengers on the bus
as well as parents who were waiting for their children at the bus stop. A
surveillance camera on board the bus captured the incident on video, according
to JCPS.

The bus monitor suffered soreness to the head and abdomen and was
treated at a medical facility. The bus driver had no visible injuries,
according to investigators.

Police said JCPS has had ongoing problems with Yancey and criminal
charges have been filed against her in the past. She now has been banned from
JCPS property, including the bus stop for a year.

Yancey is charged in this case with criminal
trespassing, terroristic threatening, third-degree assault, unlawful
transaction with a minor and disorderly conduct.
