A man and a woman were
carjacked Thursday morning in the 7th Ward, New Orleans
police said. Both victims, age 32, were sitting inside a 2009 Audi
Q7 in the 2800 block of Bruxelles Street around 10 a.m. when two armed men
approached. The gunmen ordered the victims out of the car and demanded
their property, police said
Plainclothes NOPD
detectives arrested two adults and two juveniles Wednesday (Dec. 17) shortly
after they beat and robbed a man, police said. Raheim Dimes,
19; Abanobi Lawes, 18; and two girls, 15 and 16 years old, were arrested.
Police did not release girls' names because they are juveniles. Around 10

A man was shot in the
neck Thursday afternoon (Dec. 18) in Algiers, according to the NOPD. The
shooting occurred around 1 p.m. near the intersection of Murl and Copernicus
streets. The man was taken to a hospital by a private vehicle.
The NOPD is searching for
three armed men they say punched a man and demanded his
belongings outside his Bywater home Wednesday (Dec. 17). Just after midnight, a
33-year-old victim parked his car outside his home near the intersection
of Mazant and Burgundy streets, police said. One
armed man approached, brandished a gun, then demanded property,
police said. Then man then punched the victim in the face.
A group of eight men in
the French Quarter attacked a 43-year-old man, robbing and stabbing him in
the 1000 block of Gov. Nicholls Street, New Orleans police said Thursday.
The attack came on the heels of a series of December armed robberies in
the French Quarter.
7) Six accused members of the 6th Ward Wild Side
Gang, described by prosecutors as a thuggish criminal enterprise intent on
selling drugs and violently eliminating rivals on New Orleans' streets, were
named Wednesday (Dec. 17) in a state grand jury racketeering indictment
involving six murders.
Nearly 50 rounds were
fired during a Mid-City shootout Tuesday afternoon and five men arrested in
connection to the shooting now face high bonds and a slew of felony
charges. Quincy Jynes, 27; Clarence Singleton, 29; Riginald McCoy, 18;
Darius Green, 27; and August LeBlanc, 27 are facing charges including
aggravated battery, simple escape and aggravated assault, among others.

racketeering indictment involving six murders. Authorities said 21-year-old
Jared Thomas, left, and 23-year-old Jarred Tervalon, right, conspired to sell
stolen Blue Dog works by the late artist George Rodrigue, including a $50,000
mixed-media original offered on Craigslist for $15,000 and negotiated down to
$6,000, a sum offered by an undercover Jefferson Parish detective.
The NOPD is searching for
Cyrus Rollins, 32, and Listritus Reeder, 18, who they say are wanted for
the shooting of an 8-year-old boy Saturday (Dec. 13) in the Broadmoor
neighborhood. The men are accused of driving to the intersection of South
Rendon and Eden Streets and opening fire at a group of youths playing
football, police said.
The NOPD is searching for
three people they say beat a man in the French Quarter on Thursday (Dec.
11). Around 7:50 p.m., a 46-year-old man was walking in the 100 block of
Dauphine Street when he was knocked unconscious, police said.
