They'd just been accused of viciously beating and stabbing an 86-year-old Korean War veteran during a botched home invasion - yet these two thugs couldn't stop smiling.


DeAngelo Terrell Smith, 21 and Yasmine Munnerlyn, 19, grinned widely in mug shots following their arrest over the brutal January 27 attack on elderly Carroll Jordan.
The third suspect, 20-year-old Carlos Nottingham, had a more somber look in his official police photo.


The trio has been charged with attempted murder and burglary after allegedly breaking into Jordan's Chickasaw, Alabama home and assaulting him. Jordan died on the weekend due to unrelated health complications.

Jordan was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after his neighbor found him in his home.


Opposing Views reported the alleged attackers, who've had past brushes with the law, allegedly broke into Jordan’s home to steal his flat screen television. It was found in his backyard after the attack.
Jordan's wedding ring was also stolen, according to an incident report filed in court.


A fourth person, 18-year-old Robert Campbell, was also arrested, but charges were later dropped as there was no evidence he was involved in the home invasion.
The trio were arrested in early February and charged with attempted murder.
The charges were briefly upgraded to capital murder, a charge which carries the death penalty, after Jordan died in hospital on Saturday.
However, the charge was dropped following the results of an autopsy, Mobile County District Attorney Ashley Rich told Fox 10 News.


'The autopsy has now been completed and as horrible has these defendants’ actions were that day the cause of death has now turned out to be complications from surgery due to an aortic aneurism that Mr. Jordan had,' Rich said.
'These injuries that the state alleges these three individual caused did not cause Mr. Jordan’s ultimate death. So therefore, the capital murder causes against will be dismissed.'

Danielle Micheals, an 18 year old WHITE GIRL from Reynolds burg, Ohio was dead in the woods last November.
Now a seventeen year old BLACK MALE has been charged with kidnapping, rape, and murder. The suspect says he was smoking pot with the victim and accidentally killed her in a knife throwing accident.
The body of Micheals had multiple slashes and a puncture in the neck. She died of suffocation.
This is a tiny blip in the local news. If the races had been reversed, it would be a major national news story.
After the killing, the suspect went shopping and partied with friends. He was described as being completely without emotion at his court hearing.
A BLACK teenager who is accused of killing an 18-year-old woman near Reynoldsburg High School Summit campus last year was indicted Thursday.
Adrien McGee was indicted on charges of rape, kidnapping, and tampering with evidence.
The body 18-year-old Danielle Michaels was found near the high school in the 8500 block of Summit Road on Nov. 18.
According to the Licking County Prosecutor’s Office, McGee, 17, was previously charged with aggravated murder, murder, rape, kidnapping, and tampering with evidence. Thursday’s indictment brings all charges against him into adult court.
The complaint provided by the prosecutor’s office details that the tampering with evidence charge relates to allegations that, “McGee took steps to alter the scene or hide evidence, including, but not limited to, taking the battery out of her phone and throwing the cell phone and the battery to prevent others from finding it.”

Two "YOUNG BLACK THUGS" plead GUILTY to CARJACKING a N'Orleans Judge!
 
Two "YOUNG BLACK CARJACKERS" have pleaded guilty to carjacking Orleans Parish Criminal District Judge Frank Marullo outside his Carrollton home in May. Marullo, 74, the longest-serving judge in Louisiana, said Saturday he has not given much thought to the robbery since it happened and has remained undisturbed by it. He was not harmed in the robbery, though his car was totaled.
Demetrius Givens Jr., 19, was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty Friday to carjacking and simple robbery. Leonard Robinson, 19, pleaded guilty to the same counts and was sentenced to three years. The case was adjudicated by Robert Burns, a retired Jefferson Parish judge who was appointed to handled it.
"I think the sentences were fair," Marullo said. "They're young offenders. ... I think the sentences were really fair."
The outcome for a third defendant, who was tried in Juvenile Court, could not be determined.
Police caught Givens, Robinson and the juvenile in the Hollygrove neighborhood shortly after one of the carjackers crashed Marullo's car into a utility pole in the 3500 block of Leonidas Street, about two miles from the judge's house. Police had been chasing the vehicle.
Marullo said he had dined at Mandina's restaurant on May 21 and was getting out of his car at his home in the 7900 block of Birch Street when five men approached and demanded the vehicle. He handed over his wallet and keys to his white 2011 Mercedes-Benz 300 Series sedan.
He said he thought the two other carjackers were never caught, just like an intruder he wrestled with inside his home in the 1980s. "I really don't have any particular feelings about it," he said of the fact that some of his assailants remained at large.
"Really, I've been doing this for a long time. I'm in my 40th year there, so I've been very familiar with this kind of situation, so I was not affected in any way," Marullo said. "When you deal with this thing every day, every day, it doesn't give (one) a lot of thoughts about it," Marullo said. "That's what I do every day, is listen to criminal defendants. Crime's part of my life."
