Phillip Brett, 30, who police said is from Australia, was
arrested Monday, Feb. 16, in connection with a vehicle burglary in the French
Quarter. An Australian tourist in town for Mardi Gras is now experiencing New
Orleans from Orleans Parish Prison following his arrest Monday morning on
charges of breaking into a parked car in the French Quarter , New Orleans
police said.

The New Orleans Police Department's investigation has
determined that 21-year-old Penny Proud was likely murdered in the midst of a
robbery, reports city news station WSDU . Proud, a 21-year-old black trans
woman, was fatally shot multiple times by an unidentified assailant February
10th at 1:30 a.m. on the 1100 Block of North Claiborne Ave., in the Treme
district of New Orleans.

A NOLA for Life employee has been suspended after being
arrested for rape. The incident occurred Saturday around 7:30 a.m. in the 300
block of City Park Avenue.

Chad Sanders, 32, was booked on charges of forcible rape
Saturday , court records show. An employee of the City of New Orleans NOLA for
Life program was arrested Saturday after police say he sexually assaulted a
woman in Mid-City, WDSU-TV reported.

New Orleans police are asking for help from the public in
finding and identifying 25-year-old Ashley Wooten. New Orleans police are
searching for Ashley Wooten in connection with a robbery that happened on Jan.
18 in eastern New Orleans.

A 40-year-old woman was killed in a crash
Saturday morning when another driver ran a stop sign and hit her vehicle, New
Orleans police say. Logan Calhoun, 21, was subsequently arrested on a charge of
vehicular homicide and remains jailed without bond, online court records show.

New Orleans police responded to a shooting Saturday night,
Feb. 14, in the 3000 block of College Court. The shooting took place sometime
around 7:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of College Court.

Calvin Favors, 17, is wanted by police in connection with a
shooting Friday afternoon, Feb. 13, in Algiers. New Orleans police are looking
for teenaged gunman they say chased and shot a 19-year-old man in the leg
Friday afternoon in Algiers.

The trial of Trung Le, the only person arrested in last
summer's mass shooting on Bourbon Street, has been delayed. The New Orleans
Advocate reports the Louisiana 4th Circuit Court of Appeal this week halted any
trial for Le while it decides whether prosecutors must turn over its full list
of witnesses to Le's attorneys.

New Orleans police said two parking attendants working at
the First Emanuel Baptist Church at 1829 Carondelet St. were robbed at gunpoint
Friday night during the nearby Krewe of Morpheus parade. Two parking attendants
working for a church near the Lower Garden District and the St. Charles Avenue
Uptown parade route were robbed at gunpoint Friday night, New Orleans police
reported.

New Orleans police said Saturday they are seeking Freddie
Smooth, left, and Milton Youngblood in connection with a Feb. 2 incident in
which a woman said Smooth fired gunshots at her car in the 4800 block of Louisa
Street. New Orleans police are seeking the public's assistance locating two men
suspected of shooting a woman's car earlier this month in Gentilly Woods.

The second victim in the Mardi Gras shooting Thursday has
been identified as Ivan Williams, 22, according to the New Orleans coroner's
office. Williams and Peter Dabney , 21, died after a man shot them late
Thursday as the Muses parade passed by on St. Charles Avenue near Erato Street,
police said.

Mayor Mitch Landrieu sought Friday to soothe the jangled
nerves of his city and tens of thousands of revelers after a 19-year-old man
allegedly shot and killed two men on St. Charles Avenue as the Muses parade
rolled Thursday night. It was the deadliest Carnival parade shooting in
decades.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the hip Friday afternoon on
Soniat Street in the Freret neighborhood, New Orleans police said. The shooting
was reported just after 2 p.m. in the 2700 block of Soniat , said NOPD Officer
Frank Robertson III.

New Orleans Police announced Friday that the two men shot
during the Krewe of Muses parade on St. Charles Avenue have died. A 21-year-old
man shot in the chest died at the scene.
