FACT: "CHARTER SCHOOLS MAKE MILLIONS ON MINORITY STUDENTS WHO RARELY IF EVER ATTEND SCHOOL!"
John Mc Donogh Senior High School is Shrouded in Mystery! (02-26-2013)
2426 Esplanade Ave, New Orleans, LA, 70119
John Mc Donogh High Claims to be servicing 591 Students, however, I have conducted HEAD COUNTS of Students entering and exiting the Campus between 7:45 AM and 8:45 AM and 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM during the week of 02-18-2013 until 02-22-2013. An average of 142 Students Entered and Exited the School over that 5 day period, basically leaving approximately 450 Students unaccounted for on a daily basis.
QUESTION: Who is in charge of Attendance at John Mc Donogh High School and how is this school be funded?
QUESTION: Is John Mc Donogh Charter School charging the State of Louisiana for the Number of Students actually attend School each day or are they being paid to Educate a significant portion of the Student Population that “Rarely, if ever” attends School.
FACT: We are talking about MILLIONS and MILLIONS of Dollars that are basically going unaccounted for.
FACT: On 02-22-2013 I took the opportunity to actually enter the School through the Side Student Entrance and met with a School Official by the Name of Mr. Harold Dulac, who at first introduced himself as the Dean of Students, however, later in our conversation also claimed to be the School’s Assistant Principal.
I asked Mr. Dulac if I could meet with the School’s Principal Dr. Thompson, but was told that he was off campus and that he could not provide me with any addition information as he escorted me out of the School Building. Once outside of the School Building I left my Phone Number with Mr. Dulac requesting that he get Dr. Thompson to call me back ASAP, so that we could set up a meeting date.
I also informed Mr. Dulac that the Phone Number listed on the Schools Website was incorrect (504) 827-5676, at that point he provided me with the School’s Correct Phone Number (504) 373-6211.
Immediately upon entering my Car I followed up with a call to the School’s Secretary also informing her of my intent to set up a meeting with the School’s Principal Dr. Thompson ASAP.
FACT: I have never heard from Dr. Thompson, nor have I ever witnessed him entering and/or exiting the Mc Donogh High School Campus!
