An armed man fleeing from officers serving a search warrant at a
home in a crime-troubled section of St. Louis was shot and killed Wednesday by
police after he pointed a gun at them, the city's police chief said.

The shooting that left a black suspect dead drew protests, with
many of the roughly 150 people who gathered at the scene hurling obscene
gestures and expletives at investigators and questioning the police use of
deadly force. Some chanted "Black Lives Matter," a mantra used a year
ago after the police shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown in nearby
Ferguson.

St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson said two suspects fled from
the home about noon Wednesday on the city's north side before one of the men
turned and pointed a handgun at the officers, who shot the man. That suspect,
described by Dotson as being in his early 20s, died at the scene.

Authorities were searching for the second suspect.

No officers were injured. Their races were not disclosed.

Dotson said four guns, including the handgun wielded by the dead
suspect, and crack cocaine were recovered at or near the home, which last year
yielded illegal guns during a police search.

Another man and a woman who were also inside the home were
arrested, Dotson said.

Police obtained the search warrant because they believed the
home harbored suspects in other crimes, Dotson said.

Dotson didn't specify which crimes, but he noted that a killing
happened on the same street Monday and a nearby market just was riddled by
bullets.

NAAWP PRESIDENT was TORTURED by an ICU NURSE named “RAY JENNINGS” following OPEN HEART SURGERY!

NAAWP PRESIDENT was TORTURED by a NURSE at LAKEVIEW REGIONAL HOSPITAL in COVINGTON, LA.!

MARK TRAINA underwent OPEN HEART SURGERY at LAKEVIEW REGIONAL HOSPITAL on 04-27-2015; 2-hours after surgery MARK woke up in the ICU, with RAY JENNINGS telling him to “MAN UP”, “STOP ACTING LIKE A LITTLE GIRL” and “WHAT DID YOU EXPECT, YOU JUST HAD OPEN HEART SURGERY”! Needless to say MARK was INTUBATED at the time and was unable to respond to this VERBAL ABUSE! MARK’s right shoulder had been severely injured at some point in PRE-OP or SURGERY and RAY J. refused to provide MARK with a PEN and PAPER so that he could WRITE DOWN exactly what was ailing him! NURSE RAY JENNINGS.’s response to MARK was, “I AM NOT GOING THERE WITH YOU”, as he walked out of my ICU room, saying that he was “OFF TO SAVE MORE LIVES”!

A FORMAL COMPLAINT against this INTENSIVE CARE UNIT CRITICAL CARE NURSE “RAY JENNINGS”. was FILED with HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATORS on 05-08-2015 and an INTERNAL INVESTIGATION ensued. MARK TRAINA also requested that LAKEVIEW REGIONAL HOSPITAL report this incident to the LOUISIANA STATE BOARD of NURSING (http://www.lsbn.state.la.us/)

On 06-19-2015, MARK TRAINA’s requested a FORMAL MEETING with HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATORS and STAFF PERSONNEL that was on DUTY in the ICU between 12:30 AM and 08:00 AM on 04-28-2015!

At least 13 people have been wounded in shootings since Saturday morning across
the city, police said.

Most recently, three men were wounded in a shooting around 5:10 a.m. Sunday in
the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a
spokeswoman for the Chicago Police

Department. All three were in the 4800 block of West Van Buren Street when they
were shot, Lemmon said.

A 32-year-old man was wounded in his right forearm. He was treated on the scene
but refused medical attention and police service, police said.

A 27-year-old man was grazed in the left foot and managed to get himself to
West Suburban Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Three men were at a party held at a park in the 5400 block of West Division
Street when an argument started and someone fired gunshots, police said.

A 33-year-old man was shot in the leg and was taken in good condition to Loyola
University Medical Center. A 26-year-old man was also hit in the leg, and he
got himself to West Suburban

Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, Gaines said.

A 25-year-old woman was grazed in the shoulder by a stray bullet while she was
driving in a car on Division past the party, Gaines said. The woman was taken
to West Suburban Medical Center, where her condition stabilized.

At the scene of the shooting, police officers cordoned off a section of
Division Street.

Several balloons, which said, "the party is here," were attached to
the black metal fence surrounding Davis Park, where the party appeared to have
been held, police said.
