County police have arrested four alleged gang members linked to a fatal hit-and-run crash on Mableton Parkway.
The suspects are accused of beating the victim and then forcing him into the path of a car.
The fatal crash happened just after 1 a.m. Sunday, near Factory Shoals Road and Mableton Parkway. Joshua Heath Chellew, 36, of Mableton was struck by a vehicle and later died.
Authorities said Chellew did not know his attackers. A friend of Chellew said that the two had gone to a gas station when several men jumped Chellew.
"They started punching him. They starting beating on him," said the woman, who asked not to be identified.
Arrest warrants said that the Chellew attempted to escape his attackers by backing into Mableton Parkway. Chellew was then knocked down onto the roadway, where he was struck by the vehicle.
The following four suspects are charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and violation of the Georgia Street Gang Act. They are currently being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
- Jekari Strozier (19-year-old male from Mableton, Georgia)
- Antonio Pass (18-year-old male from Mableton, Georgia)
- Johnathan Anthony (18-year-old male from the Mableton, Georgia)
- Kemonta Bonds (18-year-old male from Mableton, Georgia)
Anthony made his first court appearance Tuesday night. The other three suspects are expected to face a judge on Wednesday.
The driver of the vehicle that struck Chellew turned himself into authorities. Police said that he does not face any criminal charges. Authorities said he did pull over and call 911 after he realized that he'd struck someone.

are spiritual beings, which makes them incapable of acting in this physical
realm. Satan's little helpers must be of flesh and bone. so this is where the
need for human organizations comes in. In the nations where the devil has
dictators in command, he can use them directly to control those countries. In
the "free world," Satan has found the liberal media makes for an
effective tool for guiding and controlling society.
The liberal media is not only the devil's best device for corrupting human
society; it's his most diabolical device. The finger of blame is rarely ever
pointed at the liberal media for society's ills. This is because the press is
in charge of fixing the blame. Letting the liberal media decide if it's partly
to blame for our country's moral decline is like putting tobacco companies in
charge of finding out what causes lung cancer.
If you were to ask Christians whom they believe to be the leading groups
conspiring to bring about the one world government, many would cite groups like
the Illuminati or the Trilateral Commission. Conspiracy theories sell a large
number of books, and many of these organizations are pro-world government, but
I don't foresee conspiracy groups ever gaining the clout to achieve this task.
I honestly believe conspiracy theories just draw our attention away from the
primary forces that are laboring to achieve the New World Order.
The liberal media will be a substantial player in end-time events. When the
Antichrist finally does come to power, the liberal media will be tripping over
itself to report his every word. The values that the press currently portrays
will perfectly match the values of the forthcoming Antichrist. It will be love
at first sight.
The liberal media's final act will be to broadcast the hatred of the Jews
and nonconforming Christians. Even today, these two groups are constantly reported
about a negative bias. As we draw closer to the tribulation, the negative media
coverage will only increase.

In deadly store robbery in LaPlace, Louisiana 1 suspect denies involvement despite SOLID VIDEO EVIDENCE!
The suspected gunman who was arrested Thursday in the deadly robbery at the LaPlace Feed and Supply store profanely denied involvement in the crime. But Sheriff Mike Tregre said time-stamped surveillance video of the two suspects before and after the robbery indicates otherwise.
"We got' em," Tregre said, shortly after investigators led Charles McQuarter III away in handcuffs. McQuarter is one of two men arrested in the shooting death of 63-year-old Steve Finckbeiner and the wounding of his wife, Constance Finckbeiner, 58, at the couple's farm supply store on Tuesday.
While being escorted to a St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office vehicle, McQuarter said in response to a question from a reporter that he was "motherf------ innocent." The other suspect, Dracier Dewey,22, of Reserve, has confessed to his involvement in the robbery and told investigators that McQuarter was the shooter, authorities said.
Tregre said McQuarter, 22, of Reserve arrived at the detectives bureau with his attorney, Nghanna Gauff, shortly after noon. He would not answer any questions from authorities, the sheriff said.
Gauff recently represented McQuarter in another criminal matter, in which he was charged with attempted second-degree murder in a Reserve shooting in 2012. The resolution of that charge could not be determined Thursday.
Dewey had called the Sheriff's Office on Wednesday evening, after seeing himself on the video surveillance that the Sheriff's Office released to the news media. He was booked with being a principal to first degree murder, principal to attempted first degree murder and principal to armed robbery. His bond has been set at $1.6 million.
McQuarter has been booked with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and violating probation. While there is no bond for first-degree murder, the bond for the rest of the charges was set at $1.2 million.

CNN and boss Jeff Zucker are having a lousy February.
Results from Nielsen show that the viewer-bereft cable news network just suffered through one of its worst months ever, with Erin Burnett's "OutFront" program sinking to the lowest numbers CNN has recorded at 7 p.m. in 22 years. Barely 300,000 total viewers tuned in for Burnett's show.
Between 8 and 11 p.m. — prime time — CNN averaged just 399,000 total viewers — a 39% plunge compared with the same month last year, when Zucker had just started the job. Since 1991, CNN has performed worse only twice before (in April 2012 and last November).

On Sunday, CNN confirmed that it would soon pull the low-rated "Piers Morgan Live," now occupying the 9 p.m. weeknight slot. The network has yet to announce a replacement. Zucker, the former chief at NBC Universal, was brought to CNN in January 2013 to turn around lackluster ratings.
In fairness, February has not been a particularly noteworthy month for big breaking news, CNN's forte, and viewers were distracted for much of that time by the Winter Olympics.
But CNN has problems that extend much further than the Olympics. No. 1-rated Fox News Channel was actually up in total viewers (by 3%) to 1.9 million total viewers in prime time. MSNBC drew 722,000, for a modest drop of 2%.
