A federal judge rejected the Southern Poverty Law Center's attempt to sever its trial on fraud and conspiracy charges from that of its former chief financial officer, Heidi Beirich, Monday, delaying the trial until Feb. 1.

A federal jury first indicted the SPLC on wire fraud, bank fraud, and conspiracy charges in April, and juries returned superseding indictments in June and in August. The August indictment included Beirich, along with additional charges. The court had scheduled the trial for Oct. 5.

This second superseding indictment marked the first time prosecutors named a specific SPLC official and accused her of participating in the allegedly illegal conduct.

While the SPLC has been preparing for trial since April, Beirich told the court she needs more time to prepare an adequate defense, so she moved to delay the trial.

POLICE REPORT: Brianna Moore pulled a handgun from her bra and accidently shot her ex-boyfriend in both legs outside a Memphis police precinct after he struck her in the head. Moore faces aggravated assault, domestic assault with bodily harm, and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. She is being held on $125,000 bond. According to the police the shooting occurred near the precinct, sending a bullet through the police dictrict's window. Current leader, Mark Anthony Traina who maintains close ties with Duke, based in Louisiana and a long-term member of the NAAWP took reins of the organization back in 2012 and he is now the President of the NAAWP. Traina a conservative is proactive Trump Supporter, an economist, a school psychologist and an extremely outspoken civil rights activist who is calling for segregated public schools to be resumed in the United States. According Traina, 89% of the Black Folks murdered in the U.S. are murdered by other Black folks and nearly 40% of the White People in the U.S. are murdered by Black People.

EVIL: According to reports, a Baton Rouge black man bragged on social media after running over a white police officer and dragging him more than 500 feet with his truck. According to police, Gad Black, 41 intentionally rammed Sgt. Caleb Eisworth. It happened as the veteran officer was riding his marked police motorcycle. The impact threw Eisworth off the bike and trapped him underneath the Ford F-150... dragging him all the way down the road. Black later posted on Facebook, “Just stretched one on Joor Rd.” Sgt. Eisworth suffered two broken legs and a broken arm. Both of his legs were amputated above the knee, and after seven weeks of battling for his life, the 23-year veteran of the Baton Rouge Police Department passed away.
