CATHOLIC PRIEST caught with a 15-year old BOY with his PANTS DOWN!

A Catholic priest in Pennsylvania has been charged with molesting a teenage boy after police said he was found in a car on a college campus with a 15-year-old who was wearing no pants, according to a police criminal complaint filed Friday in Lackawanna County.

The Rev. W. Jeffrey Paulish was charged with one felony count of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and one felony count of unlawful contact with a minor after Dunmore police say they found him and the boy on Thursday in a car on the Worthington Scranton campus of Penn State University, according to the complaint.

Paulish, 56, of Scranton, was also charged with three misdemeanor counts -- indecent contact with a person under 16, indecent exposure and corruption of a minor. He is being held at the Lackawanna County jail on $50,000 bail.

Dunmore police officers say they discovered Paulish and the boy after responding to a call of a suspicious vehicle, according to an arrest warrant affidavit filed with the court.

Allegedly Paulish told police he was at the campus working on his homily when he met the teen, who he said was in emotional distress, and began counseling him.

According to the affidavit, he later admitted to police that he had arranged the meeting with the teen through the "casual encounters" section of Craigslist. Paulish told investigators that he had asked the boy three times if he was over the age of 18, the affidavit said.

A telephone message left by CNN for Paulish's attorney, Bernard J. Brown, was not immediately returned Friday.

Paulish has been removed from his post at the Prince of Peace parish and has been suspended from acting in the capacity of a priest, according to a statement released by the Diocese of Scranton.

The diocese pledged its cooperation with the investigation, and it called on anyone who "may have been sexually abused by Father Paulish or any member of the clergy" to notify the district attorney's office.

"I wish to acknowledge how unsettling this is to me personally and to countless others, that yet again a priest has been involved in such inappropriate, immoral and illegal behavior," the Bishop of Scranton, the Rev. Joseph Bambera, said in the statement.

Government reports just 74,000 new jobs in December of 2013, but drop-outs push unemployment rate to 6.7%

In a highly surprising monthly job report, the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced Friday that the private-sector added a seasonally adjusted 87,000 new jobs in December and government shed 13,000 jobs for a total of 74,000. That's the lowest level since January 2011 and more than 120,000 below the consensus of economists and other analysts queried earlier this week. It was also the smallest number of jobs created in December since 2009. The official unemployment rate—which BLS calls U3 and calculates in a separate survey—fell to 6.7 percent. That anomalous drop was due to a fall of 347,000 in the civilian labor force.

The seasonally adjusted 203,000 job gain the BLS reported for November was revised to 241,000. The October figures were unrevised at 200,000.

The surprising level of job growth is likely to have the experts in a quandary, especially given that Automated Data Processing on Wednesday had reported a gain of 238,000 private-sector jobs for December.

One thing for certain, the BLS report puts a crimp in the steady drumbeat of the assessments that the economy is finally set to grow substantially in 2014 after 54 months of tepid growth since the Great Recession officially ended. For millions of jobless Americans, or those who can't find full-time work, that official assessment is a JOKE!

California venture capitalist Tim Draper has vowed to put his money where his mouth is and back an initiative to divide California into six separate states.

Arguing that the Golden State and its population of 40 million people, divided into 58 counties, is "too big and bloated," Draper, 55, of Silicon Valley, has filed paperwork to put the measure, known as Six Californias, on the November ballot, The Washington Times reports.

"There have been many good people governing our state for many years and they work very hard for Californians, but the results are horrendous," he said. "We are the state that charges the most for the worst service. We are simply too big and bloated. This is not the fault of anyone. This has just happened. The status quo is not going to work for us."

Though Draper hasn’t revealed how much he would spend to bankroll Six Californias, he previously shelled out $20 million for a failed 2000 initiative to create a state-funded private-school voucher system.

Six Californias divides the state geographically, with states named Silicon Valley and West California, anchored by San Francisco and Los Angeles. Orange County and San Diego would become part of the state of South California, and what is currently northern California would be divided into the states of Central California, North California, and Jefferson, CNN reports.

"Citizens of the whole state would be better served by six smaller state governments," Draper said, citing California’s diverse geography and industry.

There appears to be no clear political advantage to the proposal, according to the Los Angeles Times, which reports that "if the six states existed in the last presidential election, Mitt Romney would have narrowly carried Jefferson and Central California, while President Obama would have won wide victories in three of the other four states, while narrowly carrying South California."

Numerous other secession movements have been attempted over the years, though none successfully. It will be an uphill battle for Draper and his supporters as well. One million signatures are needed just to get the proposal on the ballot. A recent poll found that the majority of Californians — Republicans, Democrats, and non-partisans — favor leaving the state intact.

"Even after a successful referendum, the state legislature and Congress still have to approve it. And that is, well, not going to happen," The Washington Post reports.

Arizona immigration law: During the battle over Arizona’s immigration law, President Obama said: “Now suddenly if you don’t have your papers and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you can be harassed, that’s something that could potentially happen.” Uh, actually, Mr. President, it couldn’t. The law would allow law enforcement officials to inquire about immigration status only when there is suspicion of a crime being committed.
9. Transparency: Obama pledged that transparency would be a top priority, but his administration refused to grant one-third of the Freedom of Information Act requests, according to an Associated Press analysis.
10. Constitutional oath: During his January 2009 inauguration, Barack Obama pledged to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States,” yet he has consistently ignored the 10th Amendment giving powers not enumerated in the Constitution to the states. Exhibit No. 1: ObamaCare.
