"CONSUMER SCAMS"
"CONSUMER SCAMS" involve deceptive practices designed to unlawfully trick, mislead, or take advantage of individuals is on the rise. We have seen a significant increase in these types of crimes in recent years. We see ads on social media sights not just everyday, but rather all day long. Money saving schemes, get rich schemes and pyramid schemes are florishing in the United States! These schemes, most of which are illegal and/or unethical can be found in newspapers, magazines, televison commercials and "YES" even in cyberspace. Infomercials using well-known doctors, politicians, athletes, preachers taking about miracle cures involving stopping smoking and drinking. natural weight loss plans, cures for cancer, heart, lung and liver disease, etc. lure people in by going into long dissertations, because they know that the longer that they can keep you interested in their product of service the easier it will be to reel you in. Turn that crap off immediately, especially if they tell you that the product is free and all the ingredients that you need are already in your kitchen. Keep in mind that all of this especially true if someone offers you something for nothing, which will usually cost you a whole lot more than what the product or service is worth.
Televangelists are actually some of the worse types of conmen and women. Many of these FALSE PROPHETS are simply out to "PROFIT" off of one's desire for help, redemption and salvation. In these schemes, victims are typically manipulated into making payments in order to get into the KINGDOM of GOD, or to obtain products and/or services that are basically worthless. FALSE PROPHETS are well-known for leaving their disciples penniless, heartbroken and feeling like they have been totally deceived.
We also need to address accepting FRIEND REQUESTS from CYBERSPACE, but the only thing that we need to say about that is that beautiful women and debonair gentlemen who send you "FRIEND REQUESTS" on social media platforms like FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, X, YOUTUBE, TIK TOK, REDDIT, MATCH, EHARMONY, TENDER, ZEUS, OKCUPID, etc., is simply to ask yourself this question: "WHEN YOU WERE 20-YEARS OLD HOW MANY 60-YEAR OLD MEN AND WOMEN WERE YOU INTERESTED IN DATING?" The answer is "ZERO"; so with that being said you should easily be able to decern that your are being "PHISHED"! So, with that being said, don't go fishing around in cyberspace and get taken advantage of and later complain about it, because it will make you look like really fatuous. We see this kind of stuff all the time in men who are fat, unattractive and over forty trying establish meaningful relationships with beauiful college age women who are simply looking for a SUGARDADDY, not a BOYFRIEND.
On the other hand, anyone can fall victim to these scams, because in 2025 alone approximately 57% of adults worldwide reported being targeted or scammed. This means that even the most careful individuals can become targets of scams. While it’s natural to believe that being smart and vigilant is enough to avoid falling for a scam, the reality is that scammers are highly skilled at deception. Their tactics are constantly changing and adapting, making it increasingly difficult for consumers to recognize fraudulent schemes. It’s important to stay alert and informed. If something or rather anything sounds too good to be true it's usually going to be too good to be true.
