complaint against the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and one of its deputies
following the arrest of her son and two other Destrehan High School students in
early February.

members say they were wrongly arrested for resisting arrest by violence while
attending the Krewe of Caesar parade on Feb. 2. In the incident, football star
and LSU signee Rickey Jefferson and fellow DHS teammates David Sampson and Joe
Sharpe were arrested for allegedly striking an undercover officer.

Det. Joshua Collins, the JPSO deputy who chased David down, David allegedly
shouted obscenities at him while he was arresting someone in the crowd for a
narcotics violation and he tried to arrest him. Collins wrote that David swung
at him and the two began fighting in the parade route and then Jefferson and Sharp
started to attack him as well.

FBI investigates JPSO POLICE OFFICER involved in TEEN BEATING on MARDI GRAS DAY!
The incident happened Friday night in the Lakeside Mall parking lot after a parade in Metairie. It was captured on video and posted to YouTube.

The YouTube video begins with 17-year-old Brady Becker being held down on the ground by a man who has his hand around the teen's throat. Moments later, the situation escalates when the man begins punching Becker in the face.
"I felt like I was in a life-threatening situation, because if this was some random guy off the street, with a gun beating me like that, he could have definitely taken my life," Becker said.
Becker said he was only defending his friend, 16-year-old Jacob Jensen, who was first approached by two unknown men, not identified as sheriff's deputies until after the altercation.
"I had no clue he was a cop, I thought this was some random guy, you know, waiving his gun at everybody," said Becker.

"The WHITE VICTIM, TYLER SUBERIELLE clams that a JPSO OFFOCER grabbed him by his windpipe and dragged him to a table!
Tyler Subervielle, who says he was beaten by uniformed deputies at 2 p.m. on Mardi Gras as deputies were telling people to leave after the truck parade. "One of the guys punched me in my face, and hit me in my eye, hit me in the stomach and threw me to the ground, all while I was handcuffed."
Two other alleged MARDI GRAS VICTIMS have hired their own LAWYERS who, like Belfield, are considering legal action.
"Hopefully in the end it will be a teaching tool for everybody," said Belfield. He says he's filed a formal complaint, but Sheriff's Office spokesman Col. John Fortunato says the office needs to hear from the alleged victims, and so far, he says no one has come forward. For this reason, he says there is no investigation into either of the cases.
